Summer Street

Drawing with pen and ink was a new medium for me and I wanted to use this piece as an opportunity to explore using different techniques to create various values. I experimented with different hatching methods and line qualities. I chose to depict a street scene because I wanted to portray the everyday, common life that I saw in China, instead of tourist attractions or prominent locations.
